| This course is designed to prepare students for career options in education. This course will equip students for entry-level employment and continuing education in careers that require high levels of interaction with children. Content interns will collaborate with the teacher about goals and objectives for lesson plans, assist in the instruction of those lessons and mentor students who struggle with understanding the content being taught. | This credit involves doing volunteer work on special events and for members of the community. Students who document 70 or more hours of service per year may earn a YVA credit. YVA will be scheduled as 8th period and is outside of the regularly scheduled day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
