| Application of Pre-Algebra skills and Basic Math Skills with emphasis on rounding whole #'s, multiplication and division problems, learn to add grocery store shopping items by using sales tax, learning concepts of the checkbook and measurement by the ruler. Studying pre-Algebra concepts of geometric shapes, solving for the unknown, orders of operations, learning properties of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. | |||||||

| Learning Basic English Skills that will assist students in their transition to life after high school The practical application of reading and written language skills necessary for situations in daily life. This class is individualized and based on individual student needs. The focus is to provide "hands-on" experiences in areas such as,interpersonal communication, vocational reading and writing skills, and other basic skills. | |||||||

| Students will learn basic math skills which may include the counting of change to $20, telling time to the minute on a twelve hour clock, learning to accurately keep a check register, defining checkbook terms and balancing a checkbook. | |||||||
